Scheduling Practices

The Practices tab on the Schedule screen lets coaches schedule and manage team practices. All team members — including parents and players — can view upcoming practices. Only coaches can create, edit, complete, or cancel them.

Adding a Practice

1. Navigate to Schedule → Practices
2. Tap Schedule Practice
3. Fill in the details:
   • Date — required
   • Start Time — required
   • End Time — optional
   • Location — field name or address
   • Focus Areas — select one or more: Hitting, Pitching, Fielding, Baserunning, Catching, Defense, Conditioning
   • Link Training Plan — optionally attach an active team training plan to the practice
   • Notes — practice plan, reminders, or any details for your staff
4. Tap Schedule Practice

The practice appears at the top of your Practices list ordered by date.

Recurring Practices

Toggle Recurring practice to schedule a series of practices at once.

Frequency options:

Frequency	Behavior
Weekly (same day)	Repeats on the same day of the week you select
Custom (choose days)	Repeats on multiple days each week — e.g. Tuesday and Thursday
Daily	Every day from the start date

End condition:

• After N practices — enter a number (up to 52); the series ends when that count is reached
• By end date — the series runs until the date you specify

All practices in the series are created at once. Each one can be edited or cancelled independently after creation.

Editing a Practice

Tap Edit on any practice card to change the date, time, location, focus areas, training plan link, or notes. Editing applies only to that single practice — it does not update the rest of a recurring series.

Marking a Practice Complete

Tap Mark Complete when a practice has finished. Completed practices are removed from the upcoming list.

Cancelling a Practice

Tap Cancel on a practice card and confirm. For recurring practices you can choose to cancel:

• This practice only — marks just this occurrence as cancelled
• This and all remaining — cancels this practice and every future practice in the series

Cancelled practices display a Cancelled banner and an optional reason note. They stay on record but are removed from the active upcoming view.

A reason field is available to note the cause — weather, field availability, etc. The note is visible to all team members who view the practice.

Who Can See Practices

All team members with access to the Schedule screen can view upcoming practices, including parents and players. Practice details (focus areas, notes, training plan link) are fully visible to everyone on the team.

Only users with a coach role (Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Org Admin) can create, edit, complete, or cancel practices.
