Roster Management

Overview

Your roster is the foundation of Playlytics. Every stat, analytics chart, and report card is tied to a player on your roster. Keeping your roster accurate and up to date ensures your analytics are meaningful.

Adding Players

  1. Navigate to Roster from the bottom navigation
  2. Tap + Add Player
  3. Enter:
    • First name and last name
    • Jersey number
    • Primary position(s)
    • Secondary position(s) — used by the defensive lineup builder
  4. Optionally add:
    • Date of birth
    • Parent name and contact information
    • Notes
  5. Tap Save

Editing Player Information

Tap any player card on the Roster screen to open their profile. Tap Edit to modify any field.

Jersey numbers and positions can be updated at any time without affecting historical data.

Archiving Players

When a player leaves the team tap Archive on their profile rather than deleting them. Archived players:

  • Are hidden from the active roster
  • Retain all their historical data
  • Can be restored if they return to the team
  • Do not count against your player limit

Player Profiles

Each player profile shows:

  • Basic information and contact details
  • Season stat summary
  • Recent performance trend
  • Active training plans
  • Mechanics assessment history
  • Coach notes

Tap View Full Analytics from the player profile to access the complete analytics dashboard for that player.

Roster for Analytics

The analytics engine uses your roster to:

  • Match voice-logged plays to the correct player
  • Generate player-specific training suggestions
  • Build lineup recommendations based on position data
  • Create player report cards

Keep player positions accurate for the best lineup builder recommendations.

Sharing Roster Access

Players and parents added to your team can view the roster. Parents see only their own child's detailed analytics — they see aggregate team stats for other players but not individual detail.
